Digital expertise in the region
Digitalization is everywhere in our lives. It is important that we take advantage of the opportunities offered by technology. For now, because they give us a competitive advantage. But soon, digital technology will become a basic requirement for businesses to operate. Anyone who misses out on digitalization will lag behind.
A.I.-supported pricing system in Hungary
In the spirit of digitalization, we are constantly renewing our operational processes: thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary's pricing system supported by artificial intelligence, for example, is a good example of how we’re making our business more efficient using data and technology.
Our company sells 15,000 products. The new solution will help you in pricing them. Using artificial intelligence, we have developed a self-learning system that assists our sales and purchasing colleagues in their work, relying on a constantly updated database backend. This pricing takes into account, on the one hand, the actual sales data over a longer period of time and, on the other hand, relies on the repurchase prices of future product purchases. Thus it supports the work of both sellers and purchasers. Sales people receive price suggestions from the system and for product managers, the system indicates whether a particular product is profitable or not. Thus pricing enables sales and purchasing tailored to market needs, helping colleagues to make the best price decision and creating the right product portfolio.
eClaim - The new, digitized complaint process
Our goal is to speed up the dialogues with our customers with special focus on the quality of the communication. This goal is supported by the introduction of the new IT system, eClaim at thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary, which runs and interacts with various systems, and which also digitizes the corporate complaint process and makes it transparent and easy for both parties to use. Reducing complaint costs is also high priority: eClaim also meets this expectation and has resulted a number of positive customer feedback since its introduction.
Our Hungarian subsidiary has been operating with the renewed, digitized complaint system since June 1, 2020. The introduction of this system was preceded by a multi-month process and system demand survey, the application of the workflow process development method, and a thorough testing and training phase which resulted the current flexible operation.
The eClaim system opens a new chapter in successful complaint management, promoting informative, cost-effective and time-efficient long-term partnerships.

Strategical partner in managing complex, global materials sourcing
Beginning of 2020 thyssenkrupp Materials Bulgaria implemented an integrated SAP system which will be used in the future as the fundament for offering other digital services to its customers.
As the next level of the digitalization process, the company is preparing a just-in-time monitoring system to allow customers to check the status of their purchase order online and track them from ordering through production to delivery of the products. By being transparent during the whole business process the company would like to increase the trust of its customers and as a result have an increasing part of the supply chain outsourced to thyssenkrupp Materials Bulgaria as a strategical partner in managing complex global materials sourcing.
