Why did you choose the steel industry and why thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary?
It was not a conscious choice. I wanted to be a teacher, but I couldn't get into the college in Eger. That time I read an interesting ad about the company looking for trainees. I applied to Ferroglobus and I have been working here for over 40 years. I am sure, it was the best decision for me, I have ever done.
What are the daily challenges for someone who chooses to work in such a „tough industry”?
If there is a problem in my daily work, I try to find the fastest and the best solution. We do our best to serve the customers at the highest possible level. New tasks and projects are a big challenge for me because I can also show off my creative side.
What makes it exciting? What is it that attracts you to this industry or to thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary?
There are always new challenges and new opportunities. Our company has a long history because it will be 100 years old in June. The secret is that it has been able to change and has opened to introducing new things. Personally, what makes thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary attractive for me is that I can work together in a good team, everybody always counts on me and they value my opinion.
How can you best balance work and private life to make time for everything? Is it even possible? What is the secret of your success?
Finding a work and private life balance is not an easy task. Sometimes compromises have to be made. After work, I try to spend as much time with my family as possible. I organise a lot of programs with my husband and daughter.
Why do you recommend the women@MX initiative to your female colleagues?
I think working for a financially stable, market-leading company is a great thing. If you want to work in an excellent team with understanding staff in a good atmosphere, do not hesitate to come here! Women can be just as successful as men. If someone is ambitious enough and persistent, can achieve the goals. Our company supports women and their career’s building. I am proud of what I have achieved and that I work for thyssenkrupp Materials Hungary.
