STORY

I tried this dish for the first time when I met my future wife. It was late summer during the harvest festival in my village. The Village Women’s Club put up a stand with various dishes, and as you can guess, the one who made this special dish best was my future wife. I joked I would be keen on eating it every day. After a time, she became my wife and grey potato noodles with „bigos” became one of my favorite dishes. Try this recipe and share your opinion.

DIRECTIONS

1. Grain finely washed and peeled raw potatoes.
2. Separate water from the starch and add flour.
3. Put the dough on a cutting board. Cut small portions of dough with the knife, and put into the boiling water.Cook them for about 5 minutes until noodles float on the boiling water surface. Fish them out into a colander and rinse under cold water.
4. Put the sour cabbage, meat, mushrooms and spices in a pot and cook over low heat for about 2 hours.
4. In the meantime, fry the sausage in the pan and add it to the cabbage at the end of cooking. After about 5 minutes, add the tomato puree and ketchup, cook for another 5 minutes until the flavors mix together, add salt and pepper to the taste.
5. Enjoy!
